TREND ALERT! | OFF THE SHOULDER

What's up everybody! I came back to talk about girly stuff because well... I'm a girl and yeah sometimes I can be girly too. 

You read it right, TREND ALERT. This is me talking to you about something that it's in your favorite stores right now but maybe you're not putting a lot of attention to it, this amazing piece of clothing is not getting enough credit, but I'm telling you that this summer it will be the bomb and everyone will own one sooner or later but because we like fashion and we should own it sooner than our friends and family and simple mortals.

Also you need to know that right now the prices of these shirts are really affordable so again.. go to the mall and get at least one because it will become a must have this season and as we all know when something becomes so popular the price will rise.. like.. a lot.

Here may I present you the nicest, softest, freshest and also very delicate shirt/blouse! And if you are not very self confident about your arms but you do like to show a little bit of skin like me, then this will be your best friend forever.. or at least for this summer.

If you wanna keep doing that boho style, here's how, also in the picture above you can see a traditional Mexican embroidered so yes you can also buy shirts like this at your local markets or somewhere that you know sells traditional Mexican clothes.

Wednesdays of Mexican Designers | M O T Z

Hello everyone! So as you probably already read in the title, I'm gonna be making Wednesdays of Mexican designers, why Mexican? because I'm Mexican that's why!
Also that doesn't mean that I'll stop posting about other things, this is just me trying for you to know about our talented people! So if you like this idea then don't miss my blog on Wednesdays....and every other day too!

So anyway, today I'm gonna talk to you about M O T Z.

Motz or M O T Z is a brand that someone I know created a couple of years ago, his name is Raymundo Montiel as you can see in the picture above, you need to know that he exclusively designs and creates clothes for men which I think it's a unique thing because nowadays most designers make things just for women.

I could say and because of what I read.. his brand is very urban, inspired in architecture, art, music but yet it's very minimalist just in case you were already picturing something crazy, no. It's simple with clean and fresh lines and I bet you my favorite shoes that whoever owns something from this brand is someone with a creative mind and someone who you won't stop staring at because of how cool they look.. and well.. who doesn't want that? I do!

I am proud to say that he graduated from the college where I am right now!
I'm studying something else but.. that's not the point. 
He also has collaborated and done styling for important projects here in Mexico so 5 for you Ray, 5 for you! 
He is one of the very few people that I've met in my short life that it's not afraid of being and showing who they really are and I'm not exactly talking about feelings or something real deep, but about style, he likes what he likes, he wears what's good for him and he has that attitude that we all want to accomplish every morning when we wake up and we put on some "cool or pretty" clothes.

So.. now I'll show you a bit of his work that I personally like a lot and if I was a man I would buy them, remember we are supporting our local designers and I'm showing you that we do own talented people.

SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL DESIGNERS | ALEXIA ULIBARRI

Hello everyone! I know what you're thinking, I haven't posted anything in a while but here I am again and today I wanna talk to you about something really important.

I know that the fashion industry uses a lot of money in big countries and with big brands it's all about expensive things and only rich people can afford them.. If you didn't know, I'm here to tell you that in my country (Mexico) the economy is... shit.

And yeah fashion is a great great thing here maybe just in Mexico City BUT it's not that important like it is for Milan or  New York etc.. And probably at this point you are thinking, so why do we care about this? Well I'm here to inspire you, encourage you to consume the things that your country produces in this case we are talking about fashion so support your local designers.

In my case, there's a lot of seriously talented mexican designers and their clothes are not that expensive, they're actually as affordable as something in ZARA or MANGO. It's a win win situation, you contribute to the economy of your country and you get to look amazing in local designer clothes plus they're waaaaaay more cheap.

So this week I've been doing my homework (yay!) no but seriously.. and I got to do, actually to talk about an amazing designer and obviously she's mexican, her is name is Alexia Ulibarri, she's from San Luis Potosí but she got the luck to study in London at The London College of Fashion and she took a bunch of workshops at Central Saint Martins! After that she came back to Mexico to own the runways and she did it. 

So now I'm gonna shut up and show you her beautiful work, these are a couple of my favorites... oh and yes the picture above it's Alexia.

And again, remember to support your local designers, I bet you they work as hard as any well known designer and they can be as talented as them, you help them become more famous and you consume something made in your country which it's something we should be proud of.
